Friday morning, as I was driving into work, I was stopped at a red light waiting for the light to turn green so I could get into the office and start my day. As I shivered in the cold and looked in my side mirror, I noticed a man sitting in some sort of work truck behind me. As I looked into his eyes through the mirror, I was able for a brief moment, to feel the burdens of this man's heart. His eyes appeared empty, as if he were just floating through the motions of his normal day to day routine. He looked to be weathered, aged beyond is years, and my heart broke for him.
Now I'll probably never see that man again, but God used that brief, unexpected moment to speak to me. He softened my heart and whispered to me, "this is why you are here." Near tears, I knew that God has me here for a purpose, a purpose to reach out to lost people, to bring hope to the hopeless, and to share His love with the unloved.

that's a powerful word Geoff! it's good to be reminded that God wants to use every moment of every day to speak to us and pray for others.
It is important to be open to where others sit in life and equally important to understand our role in the life of others. Providing resources of information to support better life decisions keeps us safe from becoming an enabler to feel better about ourselves. God has given us the freedom of choosing well to create our personal "heaven on earth" or "hell on earth." God has put a perfect system in place along with everything we need to live happily in the wisdom of His written guide to life. As humans we continue to falter through the lack of working toward the understanding in His word which also evolves as we do. Other's suffer because of poor choices, lack of understanding and lack of working toward God's plan. Why? Because it is hard work. All lasting, strong, loving relationships take a lot of work and energy. It is easier not to work that hard...not make time...not talk about it....and understand the wealth of each person to the whole system He so wonderfully and thoughtfully provided to us. His system is perfect and always works toward balance no matter what we do or choose. In that continuous pull for balance, we are always taken care of and loved. He is more awesome than we can understand.
